Merkas, with its brand “hygenius”, produces high loft nonwovens mainly for the needs of disposable and hygiene markets.
The plant is located in istanbul turkey, with 12.000 m2 closed area and an annual production capacity over 22.000 tons.
The company uses multi-layer air-through bonding technology to manufacture high loft nonwovens used as acquisition distribution layer (adl), top sheet, soft back sheet facing in the production of baby diapers, sanitary napkins and adult incontinence products.
Merkas is capable of processing synthetic and naturel fibers including biodegradables to provide the best volume and tailor-made web structure to assure outstanding softness and fluid management for excellent dryness for a clean and healthy skin.
The oeko-tex class 1 certified hygenius nonwovens, alternating in color and basis weights from 20gsm up to 250gsm, can be delivered in reel, spool or step winded forms depending on the preferences of our customers.
With its licenced r&d department, merkas aims to develop new projects and ideas in cooperation with its customers and suppliers for long term collaboration.
