History
The group's history can be traced back to 1937, when founder Mr. Hasan Şişman started his career as an apprentice for a cotton fluffer. Followıng the outbreak of World War II, as the imports ceased, he started selling hand made cotton pads. In 1945, the first machine started production and doubled up the capacity to of 5kg/h; his first step from hand made production to real industry.
By the end of 1966 the company owned five machines and the success of his company allowed him to call for his brothers to join the business. In 1967 his first brand new machine from Austria enabled him to increase the number of manufacturing lines to six which were used for airlaid felt production to be used in furniture industry. In 1971, production for automotive industry began with coconut fiber cushion. Production with synthetic fibres, first in Turkey, started in 1981.
Hassan, later giving its name to the group was founded as the second company in 1985. A change of management in the company came about in 1991 after Hasan Sisman's brothers left their positions in executive management to establish their own companies. In 1992, Hassan started to produce cleaning wipes for the first time in Turkey.
